Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-11-06. The short version: we don't collect personal data from children or parents.

Who we are

Wordburrow is made by Ingenuity Labs LLC. Questions: wordburrow@ingenuitylabs.net.

Children

Wordburrow is designed for children aged about 3 to 7. We do not ask for names, emails, photos, locations or any other personal information, and children cannot create accounts or chat. There are no ads and no third-party advertising or tracking tools in the game.

What stays on the device

Game progress (scores, which words have been practiced, time played each day, prizes collected, settings and custom word lists) is stored only on the device, in the browser's local storage or the app's storage. Deleting the app or clearing site data removes it. On the website, custom word lists are kept in the link itself. We don't store them.

Website analytics

The website and game use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and anonymous events (for example, “a worksheet was printed” or “a question was answered”). It uses no cookies and does not identify or track individual visitors across sites. The iPhone app sends no analytics.

Speech

Words are read aloud from recordings that ship with the game. Nothing is ever recorded from the microphone.

Purchases in the iPhone app

Subscriptions in the iPhone app are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts from Apple, along with the technical details any network request carries (such as app version, device type and IP address), not names or emails. This is the only network traffic the app itself makes, and the game plays without it. See Apple's and RevenueCat's privacy policies for details.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes we'll update the date above. Parents can email wordburrow@ingenuitylabs.net with any question.
