Most sight word games assume a child can read the instructions. Wordburrow doesn't. Every word is spoken, the actions are simple taps and swipes, and a first-time card shows how each game works.
There's no placement test. The game starts with the first Dolch words, watches how quickly and accurately each word comes back, and brings the shaky ones round again.
Teachers: it's free for classroom use, with no accounts and no ads. Put it on the board for a warm-up, or embed it on your class site.
Questions
Is Wordburrow really free?
Yes. The whole game plays free in your browser, with no signup, no ads and no time limit. An iPhone app is in the works, and the web game stays free.
Does it read the words aloud?
Yes. Every word is spoken and a speaker button repeats it. The voice is a real recording, so it sounds the same on every device.
Which words does it cover?
All 220 Dolch service words in five levels, plus the Dolch nouns. Start at the Dolch lists or use your own words.

An app is on the way
We're building a Wordburrow app for iPhone. The plan is everything you can play here, plus offline play and a parent view of the words that have stuck. It isn't out yet. The whole game is free here in the meantime.
